Summary:
The Education Specialist facilitates learning to both clinical and non-clinical staff in the organization. This role is responsible for teaching orientation, life support, and continuing education courses. The Education Specialist provides training for clinical and technical aspects of jobs at UNC Lenoir and coordinates student learning experiences on campus.
Responsibilities:
All LMH staff, volunteers, students, external customers/family members/community members, and outside agencies such as Lenoir Community College and other area colleges and universities; facilitates the ongoing development of all to support LMH’s mission.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Master’s degree preferred; BSN required.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
A minimum of 2 years healthcare/health related experience is required. Teaching experience preferred.
LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION
RN License; AHA BLS (CPR) Instructor Certification
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS
Verbal and written proficiency, presentation abilities and computer skills/clerical abilities, flexibility.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Exposure to hazardous materials requiring the knowledge of chemical exposure procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
Frequent, prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Pushing, pulling or moving/lifting audiovisual equipment, supplies and carts.
