Full Job Description
The Drafter I will assist in preparing standard drawings and bills of material (BOMs) for the execution of orders and standard product literature, while maintaining engineering data integrity. This role will provide opportunities to enhance drafting and CAD skills through training and assignments.

Responsibilities / Tasks

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare standard drawing and bill of material revisions as indicated by ECNs (Engineering Change Notices).
  • Create drawings and BOMs for standard products as required for order execution.
  • Produce technical drawings for standard product engineering literature.
  • Ensure the integrity of standard engineering BOMs and part numbers.
  • Continuously improve drafting/CAD skills and departmental knowledge through training.
  • Suggest ideas to improve quality, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Customer-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a deadline-driven environment.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • No prior experience required; however, experience with CAD software is a plus.

The qualifications for Drafter roles vary by level. A Drafter I requires a high school or technical school education, with no prior experience needed. A Drafter II also requires a high school or technical school education, but with two years of computer-aided drafting (CAD) experience. For a Drafter III position, candidates must have the same educational background along with five years of CAD experience.
