Each member of the Camp Kehilla Staff team will create a safe and enjoyable environment for our campers and staff while maintaining the high quality of programming associated with Camp Kehilla. Division Heads act as a liaison between the Director and the divisions for which they are responsible. The Division Head oversees an age division consisting of 2 groups of campers and their group leaders. They are responsible for ensuring all activities and special events run within assigned groups smoothly, oversight of support and behavior management of campers, supervision and support of staff, ongoing communication with families, and oversight of day to day operations of assigned groups.
Responsibilities for Division Heads
* Responsible for all daily operations of assigned groups
* Supervise 2 group leaders and groups
* Oversight of every camper's overall well-being and behavior management in assigned groups
* Be a positive, approachable resource for staff within your division
* Participate and supervise group activities within your division
* Participate in and supervise all day trips and/or late-night programs and/or special events for the division as necessary
* Work closely and develop a team approach with all group staff, specialists, Assistant Director, and Camp Director
* Conduct daily group leader meetings to support the staff needs
* Conduct performance evaluations for each staff member in assigned division
* Meet with group leaders at the end of each camp day to go over paperwork, phone calls that need to be made, and any concerns that took place during the camp day
* Responsible for maintaining an open line of communication with families and campers circle of supports
* Follow all employment policies and procedures of the Sid Jacobson JCC, including but not limited to those detailed in the JCC Employee Handbook and Camp Kehilla Staff Handbook
* Accept additional duties requested by the Assistant Camp Director&/or Camp Director
* Attendance at all staff meetings, trainings, and camp orientations are required. Including SCIP, CPR, First Aid, Epipen.
* Participate in fundraising events, open house, and fall carnival
Qualifications
* Degree in special education, social work, psychology, occupational, physical or speech therapy or other related field with a focus on children with developmental disabilities
* Minimum 4 years' experience in working with children who have developmental disabilities
* Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience

Compensation details: 8500-8500 Yearly Salary
