Position Overview

The Director, Store Projects Americas Operations will be responsible for overseeing new store, relocation and renovation projects within the US, Canada, and Latin America regions in partnership with global and regional functional teams. The role will serve as the operations project lead for the completion of projects including but not limited to Out of Network set up, Events, Pop Ups, and any operations projects as they relate to the strategic priorities of the Americas zone.  In partnership with Global and zonal retail excellence teams and various functional groups, this role will perform a gap analysis between US, Canada and Latin America regional store design functionality focusing on operations and procedures to ensure retail stores and teams are supporting the brand.  The role will ensure optimal support structure by consulting with key stakeholders and make decisions to support effective business processes and initiatives such as uniforms, hospitality and understock.  The role will focus primarily on creating and maintaining schedule and documentation that will provide effective transitional support between project phases and ensure commercial support. to stores that the zone and Regional Operations Managers can utilize in the field.  The position will report to the Senior Director, Store Operations & Facilities.

Key Accountabilities 

Project Management - Ensure cross-functional alignment and flawless execution between project teams and other initiatives and programs impacting the Americas retail business. 

  • Partner with Americas store operations manager, shared services teams and other functional groups in ensuring Standard Operating Procedures are in line with brand strategy and operational excellence objectives.
  • Provide consistent documentation and updates to Senior Director and Americas Head of Retail Excellence on big projects and various teams
  • Assists with cross-functional team communication related to parallel projects. Support creation of set up and training documentation to ensure alignment with system designs and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide a comprehensive view and review of current store operations to the project teams to ensure current state processes are understood and accounted for in technology implementation and store designs.  Gather information via consultations with key business stakeholders. Stay in close partnership with the Regional Operations Managers and retail teams before finalizing new store elements.
  • Develop and support the creation of project related materials such as business requirements, standard operating procedures, and process workflows. Create a feedback loop on challenges and opportunities for each store project to ensure lessons learned. Partner with IT to ensure equipment, process and capability design is aligned to brand strategy.

Support various business leads in gathering store/retail needs and meeting requirements for the zonal priority projects:

  • Own uniforms, hospitality, and understock process for Americas stores.
  • Identify best practices and process optimization opportunities and establish the best store opening onsite model specific to the Americas.  Define the right technology, supplies, collateral, uniform, hospitality orders, etc. and implement a core business model that can be leveraged across all markets to achieve scalability and agility in the Americas.
  • Provide transitional support and check ins to relevant parties between phases (i.e., global teams for network and new market strategy, market leaders and Regional Operations Managers for zone review and input, and project team members during the set -up and opening and up to a year post opening).

The hiring range for this position ranges from $159,120 - 224,640. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills and experience.
