Job Summary

Lee Enterprises and its full-service digital agency, Amplified Digital, are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Digital Activation Specialist to support the activation and execution of digital campaigns across owned and operated websites, email marketing platforms, and additional ad products. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the success of digital advertising initiatives by efficiently launching campaigns, monitoring performance, and optimizing outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Campaign Activation & Setup:
    • Configure and launch digital advertising campaigns across Lee Enterprises' and Amplified Digital's owned and operated websites, email platforms, and additional ad products.
    • Collaborate with creative teams to ensure proper setup, including creative uploads, audience targeting, and placement scheduling.
    • Work across multiple platforms, including ad servers, email marketing tools, and other advertising systems, to ensure campaigns meet client specifications.
  • Email Campaign Support:
    • Set up and deploy email marketing campaigns, including audience segmentation, content integration, and A/B testing.
    • Monitor email performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversions) and implement strategies to enhance outcomes.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
    • Monitor live campaigns across websites, email platforms, and other ad channels to ensure delivery and performance meet client goals.
    • Troubleshoot issues related to ad delivery, email formatting, creative assets, and targeting.
    • Analyze campaign data from multiple sources and provide optimization recommendations to internal teams and clients.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Serve as a key point of contact for sales, account managers, and creative teams to gather campaign requirements and ensure successful launches.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve campaign issues and implement improvements.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct rigorous QA checks to ensure campaigns adhere to client specifications, internal policies, and industry standards.
    • Verify proper tracking implementation and reporting accuracy for all campaigns.
  • Reporting & Insights:
    • Generate detailed performance reports across web, email, and other ad products; deliver actionable insights to drive success.
    • Maintain organized documentation and records of campaign details, changes, and results.
Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Experience:
    • 1+ years of experience in digital advertising, email marketing, or campaign management.
    • Familiarity with ad servers (e.g., Google Ad Manager, Xandr), email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud), and analytics tools.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Deep understanding of digital advertising concepts, email marketing strategies, and performance optimization techniques.
    • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and project management skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience troubleshooting campaign issues.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools.
