As a member of the Syndication Insights Comcast Technology Solutions team, you are instrumental in making sure Comcast's portfolio of syndicated products are deployed and performing for our customers as optimally as possible. In this role you will be working with cutting edge video and connectivity technologies while interfacing with global telecommunications providers.

Our partners own the customer relationship while we own and operate the product experience. We are looking for a customer experience-oriented individual to join a team focused on ensuring operational excellence across our product portfolio for Syndication Partners and Internal Stakeholders. Who you will be working with?

The Syndication Insights team works with our Data eXperience, Engineering, Quality and Reliability teams focused on cutting edge Entertainment and Connectivity products within unique customer environments. Additionally, you'll help leverage best practices across the Syndication Partners and Operator community.

Success in this role is characterized by ongoing team development, staying ahead of customer needs, and providing robust and creative solutions to support successful operation of our technology within our customer environments.

What are some interesting things you will be doing?

In this role, the successful candidate will closely collaborate with Syndication partners, business owners, product, and engineering teams in order to drive the design and development of Syndication Insights data analytics products and solutions to meet the analytics, reporting and machine learning needs of our internal stakeholders and external syndicate partners like Cox, Rogers, Shaw, Videotron and future partners. They will be responsible for defining and prioritizing requirements and maintaining the data product roadmap by working directly with our data platform, engineering, and collaborator teams. The role also involves collaboration with program management, engineering and operations teams on the QA and release of products, as well as reporting on progress and issues to senior leadership.

Job Summary

Responsible for leveraging internal and external data to provide insights and information which supports a facts-based decision-making process. Provides input into strategy, analysis methods and tool selection. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.

Core Responsibilities

Uses analytical rigor and statistical methods to analyze large amounts of data, extracting actionable insights using advanced statistical techniques such as data analysis, data mining, optimization tools and machine learning techniques and statistics (e.g., predictive models, LTV, propensity models).

Develops and executes statistical and mathematical solutions to business problems to support larger initiatives under the direction of senior team members.

Produce analysis of historical patterns in customer behaviors and product performance from complex real-world behavioral data.

Develop and deploy predictive models based on historical data that provide future predictions about customer behavior.

Constructs forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on applying data science techniques to business data.

Build customer centric models and optimization tools to support large scale projects that utilize online & offline data, structured & unstructured data, set top box data and media/behavioral/attitudinal data.

Skills/Tools

  • 3+ years of Statistical analysis, machine learning, code fluency (SQL, Spark, Python)

  • Familiar with data integration and ETL processes

  • Familiar with data engineering environments (AWS, Databricks, and Apache Spark)

  • Proficiency in at least one coding language (Python, Scala, SQL) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets

  • Experience using Spark and machine learning packages (Tensorflow, Keras, Pytorch) to build models

  • Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques: GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, etc.

  • Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field

  • 2+ years of experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models

Education

Masters Degree in Computer Science or related field

Salary:

National Pay Range: $62,735.32 USD-$147,035.92 USD
