Position Overview:
Our clients’ team is focused on providing crimped assemblies that contain a special wire made of a material known as Shape-Memory Alloy. This candidate will work closely with the engineering team to support the production of the SMA wire. The candidate should expect to review and apply industry standards for machine and panel safety, design schematics, wire sub-panels, wire components into enclosures, program PLC and HMI software, and create documentation for validation and proper use.
The Ideal candidate is familiar with electrical design, schematics (AutoCAD Electrical), and PLC systems (AB CompactLogix).
Responsibilities:
- Learn and apply proper machine and panel safety standards.
- Read machine schematics and properly wire the panel and machine using correct insulation colors, wire gauges, and routing methods.
- Create documentation conforming to company standards.
- Design and review schematics to check for correctness and be able to report and make updates.
- Design and review PLC and HMI software to check for correctness and be able to report and make updates.
- Follow all policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- BS in Electrical Engineering
- Ability to follow electrical schematics
- Familiar with AutoCAD Electrical software
- Familiar with Allen-Bradley PLCs
- Familiar with MS 365 applications
