PFLC, LLC, which is owned by Pohlad Companies, was recently founded to build a large Little Caesars franchisee via both acquisition of existing locations and construction of new locations. PFLC completed its first acquisition in December 2024 and has another acquisition with a signed purchase agreement. Upon completion of the second acquisition, PFLC will have 68 locations with plans to grow to nearly 200 locations over the next five years.



Position Purpose

The Controller will plan, direct and execute the accounting operations of PFLC, LLC.



Key Accountabilities


* Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
* Oversees and executes General Ledger accounting
* Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
* Files month state and local sales and hospitality tax returns.
* Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
* Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
* Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.
* Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
* Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.





Supervisory Responsibilities


* The team currently has one full-time and one part-time accountant and is expected to grow as the company grows.
* Oversees the operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
* Oversees training programs and identifies training needs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work primarily in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.



Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be prone to sitting for lengthy periods of time. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to hear objects, tools, or controls. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision. Lifting requirements may be required to lift and/or move up to 15 lbs.



Employee is required to travel to business and customer locations, nationally; nationally, up to 10%.



At Pohlad Companies, we are proud to share the anticipated base salary hiring range for this position as $100 - $130K, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus. If you are hired at Pohlad Companies, the base salary compensation you are offered will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the job's assigned pay range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. Education and Experience


* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
* Ten years or more of related experience required.
* Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
