Location:Remote with 90% travel
Purpose:This contractor will be overseeing wind turbine overhauls and maintenance.
Experience:2+ years of relatable professional experience in engineering, consulting, or project management preferred.
Hours:M-F, 40 hours per week. Possibility of OT with permission. Travel of 10% would consist of training, meetings or site visits.
Length of Assignment:12 month contract + potential extension or conversion
Position Specific Description
Under limited guidance, position interacts with a team of maintenance specialists, technicians, engineers, and contractors involved in wind turbine overhauls and maintenance. Position is involved with internal and external resources to execute maintenance work with direct accountability for safety, environment, quality, schedule, and cost. Position is expected to apply rigor, discipline, and focus in following standardized processes and procedures, while continuously applying a lean and quality improvement mindset to improve the process. Position should possess technical knowledge of wind turbine equipment and be skilled in understanding and resolving technical issues, including for unplanned scope. Position works closely with other Specialist, Supervisors and Contract Coordinators to develop and implement complex plans for execution of work scope.
This position requires extensive travel nationwide across the wind fleet to support plant outages (90% travel).

Individuals in this position lead internal and external resources to Deliver Certainty for assigned major maintenance activities or plant maintenance to achieve objectives for: safety, environmental, quality, schedule, and cost compliance.

- Focuses on streamlining activities through the use of lean maintenance concepts and standardized processes and procedures
- Develops leadership skills to assume greater accountability for internal employee development and performance management
- Leads, under general guidance, the cost and schedule functions in accordance with corporate financial policies and procedures
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- High School Grad / GED
- Bachelors or Equivalent Experience
- Experience: 2+ years
- Supervisor/Management Experience: 0+ years
- Ability to climb Towers
- Multi-Tasker
