Summary:
Coordination of the in-take, execution, tracking and follow-up of executive level requests including but not limited to the Office of the CEO and Dean, UNC Health and UNC School of Medicine and constituents as assigned by the Manager of Constituent Relations. Ensure appropriate care and services are made available to the patient/constituent and their families. Collaborates with the appropriate health care team members to advocate for an appropriate treatment plan for the patient/constituent.
- Represents and liaises at the request of the Manager, Constituent Relations on behalf of the Chief External Affairs Officer and team, the CEO/Dean and other executives with internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to legislators/community leaders, members of the UNC Health BOD, members of the UNC Systems Board of Governors and UNC System Administrators, the UNC-CH BOT and Chancellor’s office, donors, providers, teammates and others.
- Coordinates the timely in-take, outreach to appropriate UNCH providers and department leadership, close and timely tracking of requests assigned plus follow-up while ensuring adherence to patient privacy guidelines (HIPAA) with the upmost discretion.
- Makes high-level contacts internally and externally, requiring discretion and diplomacy.
- Collaborates on the development and implementation of effective and efficient systems for addressing the needs of patients/constituents.
- Provides administrative support to the Manager of Constituent Relations and when needed, the CEAO for External Affairs and team related to the area of constituent relations only.
- Prepares confidential correspondence on behalf of the Manager of Constituent Relations, the CEO and other executives to acknowledge receipt of escalations of patient concerns related to care, services including billing.
- Coordinates and tracks the routing to resolution of such escalations to leadership which requires interacting with appropriate departments including Patient Relations, Risk Management, Revenue Cycle and others.

Education Requirements:
● Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
● No licensure or certification required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
● Requires three (3) years of administrative project management experience.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
- Ability to work independently with sound judgment when carrying out tasks on behalf of constituent relations and the Office of the CEO.
- Must have the ability to multi-task and produce results in a timely, efficient and highly confidential manner.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote, Teams…) and other tools that support timely, efficient handling of tasks and projects related to constituent relations. Use of EPIC will be required, and training will be provided.
- Must be willing to be available after hours, evenings and weekends when contacted by the CEO/Dean, Executive Officer for External Affairs or other senior leadership
