BUYER ASSOCIATE IN NEWPORT NEWS, VA

Volt is immediately hiring a Buyer Associate in Newport News, VA.

As a Buyer Associate, you will be:

Contacting vendors, placing orders, verifying supplies, managing supply requisition and communicating with suppliers to determine expected delivery dates and inform Project Managers of potential delays.
Assisting Buyer with placement, adjustments, and cancellations of purchase orders.
Working with Fulfillment to flow the product through Ferguson warehouses by using the optimal replenishment settings without impacting customer service.
Monitoring rebalancing of assigned inventory to ensure excess inventory is optimized.
Analyzing, report, and act on replenishment planning KPIs (Instocks, Fill Rate, Days of Inventory, Inefficient Inventory) on a regular cadence.

This is a Full-time, contract opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

Accountable for decisions, actions and results.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Advanced skills in Excel (pivots, lookups) - preferred.
Experience working in supply chain planning software a plus.

Pay Rate: $15.00 - $18 per hour.
