Title: Associate Director - Staff Software Engineer

Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007, USA (Principal place of business - telecommuting permitted)

Duties: Assist in defining solutions, integrations, and technical architectures. Assist with estimation of development tasks, project planning and roadmap initiatives, and risk identification and mitigation planning. Participate in software design, development, implementation of data pipelines, data processing and ETL operations, and data access services. Work alongside Product Development and DevOps teams to support both large structured and unstructured data sets. Support and contribute to continuous improvement, tuning, applications, infrastructure developments, process controls, and upgrades of data systems. Provide guidance, hands-on development, and operational support for deployment of database scripts and changes across multiple environments. Collaborate with technical teams and business owners during design and implementation as needed. Manage individual time and tasks as well as guide and mentor junior team members. Modernize and transform data ecosystem using latest cloud services. Work closely with business and data strategy team to understand requirements and design/provide required data services using cloud-based solutions. Build and maintain a range of data initiatives across various business units by providing digital data insights into each of domain. Develop, build, and test data engineering pipelines. Provide data solutions using cloud-based services, such as AWS, Airflow, Snowflake. Analyze and translate business requirements into functional and technical design and lead and architect solutions. Telecommuting Permitted (100% telecommuting position. Will consider applicants resident in the continental U.S.).

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field plus at least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as a Software Engineer, Technical Consultant, or in a related position performing software development and designing technical solutions. Must have experience with the following: providing technical support, including troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving defects in production, UAT, and stage environments; applying knowledge of multithreading concepts, design patterns, and software development methodologies, including Agile, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment; JMS, JDBC, SQL/PLSQL, Unix, Shell, Java, Eclipse, and automated testing tools; working with AWS cloud based data processing (Glue, lambda, EMR, Step Functions, Athena) and data stores (AuroraDB, DynamoDB, s3); applying knowledge of Python with focus on data processing, including Pandas and Pyspark; and using build tools and version control systems, including Maven, GIT, and Subversion. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $179,982 to $230,850, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
