Our Human Health US division (HH-US) has undergone significant transformation over the past few years, focused by an effort to shape our company's future by enhancing our commercial capabilities, being more adaptive to changing market needs and preparing for numerous potential launches of our medicines and vaccines. As Associate Director, Launch Excellence, you'll play an important role in preparing for and accelerating the growth of launches. Specifically, you'll partner with leaders across the enterprise on launch planning activities, such as developing launch execution plans, launch KPIs, etc. to effectively manage launches across all interfacing workstreams, inspire innovation and enable business impact.
Primary Responsibilities include and may not be limited to:
- Build fully integrated launch plans by partnering with marketing leadership and key functions/stakeholders across the enterprise to create, advance and adjust launch plans while leveraging agile strategies and methods.
- Serve as a launch excellence subject matter expert.
- Bring novel ideas to launch readiness across all strategic go-to-market launch components.
- Drive transparency, inspection and adaptation of launch plan progress - ensuring tactical execution plans aligns with brand strategy.
- Track progress and identify risks and cross-functional interdependencies across all launch workstreams.
- Lead scenario planning, risk assessments and prioritization of critical launch activities.
- Create end-to-end launch KPIs and post-launch hyper care plan.
- Facilitate brand level planning and launch meetings with the core and extended teams.
- Actively manage appropriate cross-functional involvement in launch activities and decision making.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and Global Centers of Excellence (COEs).
- Lead the team to effectively meet launch timelines.
Work Experience
Required:
- BA/BS in Business, Marketing, General Management, Biotechnology or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in one or more of the following functions within the biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology or life sciences consulting industries: marketing, sales, strategy & planning, commercial operations or related function.
- Proactive self-starter with strong leadership skills, executive presence and cross-functional influencing skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in project management and execution of plans across a broad group of stakeholders/functions (Marketing, Headquarters, Field, Centers of Excellence , etc.).
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Documented success in developing strategies and executing tactical plans with cross-functional teams in matrixed organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives at once.
- Travel as needed for meetings/conferences.
- Ability to be on-site/in-person 3 days per week.
Preferred:
- Success in launching new brands, indications or commercial programs in a lead role within the pharma/biopharma industry.
- Understanding and application of pharmaceutical marketing/commercialization methods and techniques, tools and concepts. (e.g., market research, strategic planning, multichannel execution, consumer and health care providers, marketing, etc.).
- Understanding and application of Agile strategies, methods and practices.
