Full Job Description
Critical Infrastructure Security Officer
Location: Tampa, FL
Employment Type: Full-Time for 1st Shift
Various Shifts Available: Monday through Friday
Shift Time: Between 15:00 and 23:00
Starting Compensation: $19.50 per hour
* Includes 27 hours of paid training between minimum wage and $17.05/hour.
* Final Interview Process is a 4-hour unpaid Pre-Hire Orientation.

- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
- Possession of an approved Florida Class "D" & "G" Security Licenses issued by the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (DOACS)
- Completion of an approved State of Florida 40-hour Unarmed and 28-hour Armed Security Officer Course.
- Ability to provide proof of a high school diploma, college degree, or a valid state GED certificate.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving history.
- Minimum of one (1) year of work experience in security or a related supervisory position.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including days, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable personal transportation and the ability to travel to various job sites as assigned.
- 24/7 access to a smartphone (Android, iPhone, or Windows) and computer with internet access.
- Intermediate computer literacy, including the ability to use email, web browsers, Microsoft Word, and Adobe PDF
- Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision-must be self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of setting and achieving tasks based on training and experience.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to read and interpret complex instructions, procedures, SOPs, post orders, statutes, and legal regulations related to security officer duties
- Physically able to work in diverse environments, including commercial and industrial locations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain uniform items as required
- Must be in good physical condition: able to walk up and down stairs in confined spaces and lift to 50 lbs.
- Must maintain a neat, professional appearance, including the proper and complete wear of the assigned security uniform. Any visible tattoos must be covered, and grooming standards (hair, nails, facial hair, etc.) must be followed per SOP.
- Must successfully pass a drug screening and criminal background check.
- In possession of, or willing to apply for, the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (T.W.I.C.) Additional details at TSA's official website
- Working knowledge of security operations, armed security protocols, and law enforcement guidelines, including basic investigative techniques.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and ordinances, particularly those applicable to Hillsborough County, Florida.
- CPR and first aid certifications or the ability to obtain them.
- Prior military or law enforcement experience is highly preferred. Applicants claiming veteran or law enforcement preference must submit appropriate supporting documentation at the time of application.
