How you’ll shape the future of the Machines Department:
- Develop to strategic objectives for improving key performance indicators such as safety, quality, production, reliability.
- Translate strategic plans into actionable events and measure the results of the strategic efforts with scorecards to generate immediate feedback and timely course corrections.
- Recruit, train, and develop a team of hourly operations personnel.
- Lead the reliability team for the machine area to ensure the safe, effective and efficient operation of equipment.
- Ensure safety of the area including accident analysis and reporting.
- Develop and maintain operating standards.
- Ensure timely review of all operating information and resolve unfavorable trends. Understand daily operating costs and control strategies.
- Lead timely review of all mechanical failures to include performing root cause analysis.
You’ll be someone who can bring:
- Engineering degree (Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience
- 5 to 10 years minimum experience in manufacturing or engineering.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a production environment
- Extensive operations and troubleshooting knowledge, equipment operation, and maintenance of pulp machinery.
