Job Summary

The Accreditation Support Specialist will provide a higher-level of administrative experience that supports the accreditation process and preparation for the re-accreditation process for the School of Nursing. This individual will be responsible for a high level of administrative responsibilities in preparing documentation, reviewing/adhering to the requests of the accrediting body and participating in the overall process of preparing for our next accreditation visit.  This is a 12-18 month commitment working 20-25 hours per week.

Responsibilities*

  • Supporting accreditation processes (following CCNE Accreditation Standards: applications, collecting data, renewals, etc.)
  • Attending accreditation/assessment meetings-engagement and recording of meeting discussion and decisions
  • Coordinating accreditation site visit working with the Assistant to the Dean
  • Maintaining accreditation files (including required documentation and evidence of achieving individual Standards/Elements))
  • Liaison with regulatory agencies (between SON and the accrediting body)
  • Supporting accreditation team operations (working with other members of the accreditation team to ensure the quality of the accreditation process, monitoring progress, and ensuring
  • completion of Self Study Report by deadlines)
  • Set up accreditation meetings
  • Preparing reports and documentation (preparing and submitting reports and documentation to accrediting body)
  • Review of documentation (ensuring compliance with accrediting standards, policies and procedures in preparation for the accreditation visit)
  • Responsibilities of this position require remote work with an occasional in-office day for special meetings/projects related
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications*

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 or more years high-level administrative support experience
  • Experience in working with accreditation agencies and processes
  • Proficient in software such as Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite

Modes of Work

Hybrid: The work requirements all both onsite and offsite work and an employee has an expected recurring onsite presence. On occasion, the employee may be required and must be available to work onsite more frequently if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements.
