How you will shape the future of the Shared Services Department:
- Support an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
- Assist in the annual financial statement audit and quarterly financial statement reviews by providing supporting schedules/explanations to the internal and external audit team.
- Highlight opportunities and support continuous improvement to ensure results at the highest efficiency levels, in the most cost-conscious manner, and in support of company initiatives.
- Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information, and prepare account reconciliations.
- Review and approve monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Prepare analysis of financial statement results in support of business objectives.
- Guide accountants and accounting associates by coordinating activities and answering questions.
- Assist in developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable governmental regulations, company policies and RYAM Standard of Ethics and Code of Corporate Conduct.
- Additional duties as assigned.
You will be someone who can bring:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting
- 2-3 years experience in Corporate Accounting or Public Accounting
- Previous Manufacturing environment preferred
- Solid knowledge of general ledger accounting
- Proficient in Excel, Access and Word
- Knowledge of SAP
- Good communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable to change
